Brainstorming and Ideation
Problem Definition
Our sponsor for the project was Tim Wenrich, a farmer based in New Hampshire. After speaking with him and discussing some of his major pain points, the team came up with the following problem statement to address:
"Farmers in the United States struggle to grow produce out of season due to extreme weather conditions and high costs of indoor farming. They need a more efficient way to grow lettuce all year round to meet the needs of increasing demand for an increasing population in the United States."
Ideation Process
To solve the problem, we went through a set ideation process which included ideation techniques such as affinity and mind mapping before each coming up with a potential solution based on our house of quality.
